Sarkodie, a stage name for Michael Owusu Addo, a Ghanaian rapper, singer, and businessman from Tema, was born on July 10, 1988. 
He has received various honors for his services to the Ghanaian music scene, including the Vodafone Ghana Music Award for “Artiste of the Decade.” At the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards, he was declared the inaugural winner of BET’s Best International Flow Artist category.
